ReplyDeleteSo how come Nationalists still don't understand item 141 on page 42 of the 2013 Scot Gov White Paper "Pensions in an Independent Scotland" ?
"Entitlement to a Scottish State Pension
141 Pension entitlement in an independent Scotland can be understood via the
following four key points:
For those people living in Scotland in receipt of the UK State Pension at
the time of independence, the responsibility for the payment of that
pension would transfer to the Scottish Government. "

Good work. It seems shameful that the heavy lifting of correcting SG's "economy with the truth" and catching the witless opprobrium that comes with it should fall so much on the shoulders of private citizens rather than an Opposition MSP or two.

ReplyDeleteI have just seen Monica Lennons statement on Independence and i'm left wondering
if she actually understands a jot what Socialism is and how it actually works in the UK ?
Her statement will have convinced many to finally write Labour off as a lost cause
and just vote Tory at the next Holyrood election instead and who would the hell would
blame them, no wonder Labour isn't taken seriously by many Voters anymore on all sides of
the political spectrum.
Or is She cluelessy trying to play the part of Stalking Horse and knows she isn't going to win this leadership contest anyway and is playing to potential previous Nat voters who might Vote for Her in the next Holyrood election without thinking at of all the colateral damage she has caused to other people and to the Labour Party overall ?
Isn't it time you invited the whole damn lot of them including Kier Starmer and the Labour NEC to one of your "How fiscal transfers work for Scotland , Wales and NI " briefings ? Who knows it might actually register with them that it might be something they could actually use to educate the whole UK Public about and that its ultimately called "Socialism" ? Without this knowledge ever getting into the heads of Nationalists Labour will get slaughtered at the next GE in Scotland once again.
ReplyDeleteCan we look forward to some "Beleive in Scotland " debunking soon ? Does McIntyre-Kemp never give up re-publishing the same old made up fantasies ? https://www.facebook.com/thenationalnewspaperscotland/photos/a.1426363187653718/2625963551027003/
